Swami Vivekananda delivered this speech on September 20, 1893. It was his fourth speech at the World's Parliament of Religions in Chicago. This short speech gently scolded the Christian missionaries trying to propagate Christianity in India. He noted that India's need was not religion but rather food to appease widespread hunger.
